Obituary of Charles Vincent Toner, III

Charles V. "Charlie" Toner, III., age 90, of Middletown Twp. PA, died Sunday, August 14, 2016, at home. Charlie was born May 7, 1926, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Charles V. and Agnes (McNichol) Toner, Jr. Charlie attended St. Leonard's Academy and was a 1944 graduate of West Catholic High School. He graduated from Villanova University with a Mechanical Engineering Degree. Mr. Toner was employed throughout his 41 year career with Piasecki Aircraft, Boeing Company and retired in 1987, from Sikorsky Aircraft. Charlie was a United States Army Veteran, serving in Germany. Mr. Toner was a longtime parishioner and Eucharistic Minister at the Church of St. Francis De Sales. Charlie enjoyed sailing the Chesapeake Bay, New Jersey Shores and the New England Coast. He spent time landscaping his property and was intrigued with authentic model building. Most of all, Charlie cherished spending time with his family. Husband of the late Mary M. Toner, who died June 2, 2016, and predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
