Obituary of Carolyn F. Nolan

Carolyn Frances Boggs Nolan, 78, of Aston, PA, passed away with peace and grace on Monday, May 1, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Carolyn was born on April 2, 1939 in Anderson, South Carolina to Lorene Hayes Boggs and the late Frank Carl Boggs. Carolyn grew up in a loving household with 7 siblings; Beth (Herbert) McCoy of Greenwood, SC, Daisy McKee of Iva, SC, the late Helen (Carl) Rutherford of Conley, GA, Brenda (Allen) Balchin of Iva, SC, Frank (Kathleen) Boggs of Duluth, GA, Donnie (Patricia) Boggs of Greenwood, SC, and John Boggs of Iva, SC.

Carolyn was pre-deceased by her loving husband of 54 years, Robert Leo Nolan, on March 12, 2012. Carolyn was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her favorite activities were cooking, doting on her grandchildren, and vacationing every year with her family in the Outer Banks, NC. She retired from DuPont Graphic Center after 15 years.

Carolyn is survived by her 5 children; Kevin (Beth) Nolan of Lusby, MD, Carole Dee Armstrong of Boothwyn, PA, James (Michelle) Nolan of Kennett Square, PA, David (Laura) Nolan of Edgemont, PA, and Lisa (James) Joyce of Kennett Square, PA. Carolyn is also survived by her adored grandchildren Nicholas, Katelyn, and Alison Nolan; Chelsea and Christie Armstrong; Leah and Claire Nolan; Ian and Riley Nolan; Nolan and Delaney Joyce.  

Funeral Mass: Friday, May 5th at 11:00am at The Church of St. Francis de Sales, 35 New Road, Lenni, PA 19052. 

Visitation: Friday, May 5th after 10:00am at the church.

Interment: Edgewood Memorial Park.
