Obituary of Michael J. Pellegrino

Michael J. Pellegrino, age 89, of Sharon Hill, PA, formerly of SW Philadelphia, died Saturday, May 6, 2017.

Michael was self-employed and owned Turino Catering. He graduated from Bok Technical School, for hanging paper. Michael was a US Navy WWII Veteran, who was disabled from his heroic duties testing atomic bombs. He was awarded the Pacific and WWII Victory Ribbons. Michael was the post president of Catholic War Veterans, president of Rotary Club and a member of the American Legion Post #387. Mr. Pellegrino volunteered at Fair Acres, Taylor Hospice and Prospect Park Nursing Home, where he played the piano for the residents.

 

Son of the late Frank and Carmela (Auligino) Pellegrino, brother of numerous deceased brothers and sisters.

 

Survivors:

Children: Frank M. (Joan), Michael J. (Joanne), Donna M. (the late John) Fritz, George P. (Jacquelyn), Joan J. (Pat) Mclaughlin, Larry, and David (Domenica) Pellegrino

Brother: Art (Jean) Pellegrino

Grandchildren: Lori, Michael, Angel, Brian, Jennifer, Matt, Katie, Spencer, Max, Billy, Audra, Leah Margaret, Lawrence Francis, and Rocco

Great-Grandchildren: Emma, Danny, Cecilia and Michael III

Former Wife and Friend: Caroline Pellegrino

Also survived by nieces and nephews

 

 

Funeral Mass: Thursday, May 11th at 10:30AM at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Secane, PA.,19018

 

Visitation: Thursday, May 11th from 9:00- 10:15AM at the church.

 

Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
