Obituary of Beatrice B. Porreca

Beatrice B. Porreca, "Bea" age 97, of Middletown Twp., Media, PA, formerly of South Philadelphia, died Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Bea was employed at Wolff's Apple House and then seen maneuvering the fudge counter at Boscov's Granite Run. Bea was an avid reader, enjoyed the Food Network Channel and stringing beads. She came from a loving family of 12 siblings. Most of all, Bea was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and cherished spending time with her family. Wife of the late Harry J. Porreca. Survivors: Daughters: Leslie N. (Glenn) Valuck of Middletown Twp., Media, PA., Louise M. (Frank Ryan) Porreca of Philadelphia, PA, and Suzy (Ivo DiPalma) Porreca of Middletown Twp., Media, PA. Siblings: Norma D. Smeltzer, Sonny (Winnie) Brancato and Joan Brancato Grandchildren: Anthony and Anne, Christina and Sam, Amy and Tom, Becky and Tom, Corey and Ken and CoCo. Great-Grandchildren: Sean, Matthew, Cassidy, Annalise, Will, Harry and Archer Also survived by her loving nieces and nephews Visitation: Monday, January 8th from 6:00-8:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd. Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063, and Tuesday, January 9th after 10:00AM at the Church of St. Francis De Sales, 35 New Rd. Aston, PA 19014. Funeral Mass: Tuesday, January 9th at 11:00AM at the Church of St. Frances De Sales. Interment: Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.
