Obituary of John D. Warfield

John D. Warfield, Jr., age 88, a 20 year resident of Brookhaven, PA, died Thursday, January 22, 2015. John was a 1944 graduate of Yeadon High School. He was employed with ARCO for 25 years and Syncor for 18 years, until retiring in 2003. John was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during WWII, in the Liberation of the Philippines. John was a member of the Edgmont Country Club. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, reading and traveling with his friends and family. Husband of 56 years, to the late Sally Master Warfield, who died in 2006, Father of the late Danny Warfield, and brother of the late Sam and Jim Warfield. Survivors: Daughters: Diana DiFiore (Dom) with whom he lived, Joyce Gillespie (Jim) Sons: Stanley (Cathy) and Rick (Donna) Warfield 10 Grandchildren 15 Great-Grandchildren Sisters: Margaret Hoffecker and Diana Burger Brothers: David and Bill Warfield Also survived by nieces and nephews Funeral Service: Saturday, January 31, 2015, at 2:00 PM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte#352) & Knowlton Roads, Middletown Twp., Media, PA Visitation: Friday, January 30, 2015, from 7:00-9:00 PM and Saturday January 31, 2015, after 1:00PM at the funeral home Interment: Private In Lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in memory of John Warfield, to American Macular Degeneration Foundation at https://www.macular.org/
