Obituary of William Ronald Miller

William R. Miller, Sr. "Bill", age 95, of West Chester, PA, formerly of Prospect Park, PA, and Brookhaven, PA, died Thursday, January 22, 2015. Bill was born, raised and educated in Chester, PA, and was a 1938 graduate of Chester High School. Bill was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, and was awarded 3 Bronze Stars and the South Pacific Victory Medal. He was the owner of the Baldwin Hotel, Eddystone, PA, retiring in the early 70's. Bill was a member of the Delaware County Tavern Association, and a longtime member of the Kirkwood Fitness Club. He was a devoted fan of Duke University's sports teams, known as the "Duke Blue Devils." Bill loved his family and especially treasured spending time with his grandchildren. Bill was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Marian McKnight Miller who died in 1997; his daughter, Elizabeth Connolly; sister Jessie Miller, and brother Michael Miller.
