Obituary of Robert W. Loder

Robert W. Loder, age 97, of Newtown Square died Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Riddle Memorial Hospital. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he had been a resident of Wynnewood, PA for 25 years before moving to Newtown Square 17 years ago. Mr. Loder was a graduate of Overbrook High School, Class of 1932, and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Class of 1936 He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and the Korean Conflict. Mr. Loder worked for Penn Central Railroad in Philadelphia, until his retirement in 1976, as Asst. Vice President of Finance. A member of Overbrook Presbyterian Church, Mr. Loder was devoted to his family and enjoyed his home, especially working in his garden. He was a member of Better Times Investors and also enjoyed the stock market. While living at White Horse Village, he was active on various committees. Mr. Loder was husband of the late Marilou (nee Slaughter) Loder. SURVIVORS Daughter: Geneva Green (Raymond) of Wallingford, PA Sons: Scott Loder (Melanie) of Montgomeryville, PA and Drew Loder (Sharon) of Newtown Square, PA.
