Obituary of Thomas Frederick Leahan

Thomas F. “Tom” Leahan, age 84, of Collingdale, PA, died Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Bryn Mawr Hospital. Tom was a 1949 graduate of Lower Merion High School and attended Penn State University. Tom was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War and was stationed at Sampson Air Force Base in Geneva, NY. Tom was the proud owner/operator of Glenwood Builders. In his later years, Tom continued working alongside his son Jeff at Westmont Beverage and then Woodlyn Cleaners and Laundromat, retiring in 2013. Tom was a member and past master of Williamson-Corinthian Masonic Lodge No. 368. Tom was an avid Philadelphia Sports fan, especially cheering on the Eagles. He was devoted to his family and was affectionately known as Pop-Pop. Pop-Pop enjoyed trips to Sea lsle City, NJ, and New England. Tom also enjoyed reunions in various locations with his lifelong Air Force buddies. Most of all, Pop-Pop cherished spending time with his family. Husband of the late Doris Mousley Leahan, who died in 2013, and brother of the late Donald G. Leahan. Survivors: 2 Sons: Thomas F. (Patricia Roth) of Media, PA and Jeffrey K. (Anne) Leahan of Edgmont, PA Daughter: Karen J. (Bruce) Mazzella of Media, PA 3 Grandchildren: Scott (Jamie), Jeffrey (Jenny) and Kortne Nephew: Mark E. Orange Street, Media, PA 19063 Visitation: Wednesday from 9:00-10:30AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte.#352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063, where a Masonic Service will be held at 10:30AM Interment: Mt. Zion Cemetery, Collingdale, PA In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in memory of Tom, to Christ Episcopal Church, 311 S. Orange St., Media, PA 19063.
