Obituary of Thomas J. Masticola, Jr.

1927-2016 Thomas J. Masticola, Jr., "Coke" age 88, of Media, PA, formerly of Parkside, PA, died Thursday, February 4, 2016. Tom was born in Chester, PA and was a graduate of Chester High School. He then pursued his BA in Education from Penn State University and continued to be a proud alumnus. He was a US Army Veteran, who was decorated with a World War II Victory Medal and an Army of Occupation Medal. Tom went back to his roots and taught Science at Chester High School for 37 years, until his retirement in 1987. Coke was an avid baseball player, and a standout pitcher. In 1980, he was inducted into the Delaware County Baseball Hall of Fame as well as, the Chester High School Athletic Boosters Hall of Fame. Thomas cherished spending time with his family and friends. A kind and generous man, Tom was always ready to be a mentor to help students in any way he could. Son of the late Thomas J. and Carrie L.
