Stuart B. Wells, Jr. 91, from Elizabethtown, PA., died on Thursday July 27, 2017 at home. Born in Chester, PA., Mr. Wells had lived in Brookhaven, PA for 37 years and Hershey’s Mill, West Chester, PA for 15 years before moving to Elizabethtown, PA in 2003. A US Army Veteran of WWII, Stuart fought in the Battle of the Bulge, with the 75th Infantry Division and later with the 290th Infantry, where he received honors. He had been employed by the Sun Oil Co., as an electrician for 40 years, until his retirement in 1983. He was a longtime member of the Parkside United Methodist Church and St. Paul’s UMC, Elizabethtown. He was also a member of the Sun Oil Honor Club. Husband of the late Janet Pendleton Wells. Stuart is survived by son Stuart (Karen) Wells; daughter Janice Davis, 5 grandchildren, Jared (Cristina) Davis, Kimberly Wells (Mike Adoff), Kate Wells (Shaun Gallagher), Jennifer (Daniel) Houck and Jessie Davis; three great grandchildren, Ava, John and Nicolas Davis. Stuart was preceded in death by his parents and brother Francis Wells. Services will be held at the Masonic Village Sell Chapel on Saturday, August 5th at 10 am followed by a public Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery in Aston, PA at 3:00 pm.
