Margaret Ann "Peggy" Staats


Margaret Ann “Peggy” (nee Wishing) Staats, age 72, of Middletown Twp., Media, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, died Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. Peggy was born June 15, 1946 in Philadelphia, PA. She was a graduate of West Catholic High School, Class of 1964, and Neumann University, Class of 1989. Peggy was a Business Administrator for the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania for 28 years, retiring full time work in 2012. Mrs. Staats was a parishioner of the Church of St. Francis De Sales, Lenni, PA.


Daughter of the late Bartholomew and Margaret Wishing; Sister of the late; Eugene Wishing, Sister-in-law of the late James McCarry and Edward Staats

2 daughters:  Megan (Staats) Schaefer and Gerald Schaefer III; Amy (Staats) Zeminski and Mike Zeminski

Grandchildren:  William Schaefer, Margaret Schaefer, Elizabeth Schaefer, Carolyn Zeminski, Sarah Zeminski and Michael Zeminski

Sisters:  Patricia (Wishing) Porter; Lenore (Wishing) McCarry

Visitation: Friday, January 4th from 6:00-8:00PM and Saturday, January 5th from 9:00-10:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.


Funeral Mass: Saturday, January 5th at 10:30AM at the Church of St. Francis De Sales, 35 New Rd., Aston, PA 19014.


Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
