Obituary of Michael McCormick, Sr.

Michael P. McCormick, Sr., age 71, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Briarcliff and Holmes, PA. Mike passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 9, 2025.  Mike was a proud graduate of Our Lady of Fatima grade school and of Cardinal O’Hara High School, Class of 1972.  He spent his career with BP and Sunoco Oil Refineries, until retiring in 2018.

Mike was a member of the Sons of the American Legion, Aston, PA.  He enjoyed golfing and spending time in Sea Isle City.  Mike was a devoted Notre Dame Fan.

Mike had an infectious smile and was jokingly referred to as “the mayor” because he found someone he knew everywhere he went.

Mike radiated joy and positivity.  His love and loyalty to his family were unwavering.

Son of the late Bill and Betty (Mullen) McCormick; Brother-in-law to the late Tony Wolski.

Son: Michael P. (Briana) McCormick, Jr.

Daughters: Michelle (Mike) Cubler, Colleen (Joe) Scarpato

Grandchildren: Nico, Emilia, Joey, Owen, Patrick, Skylar

Siblings: Bill (Sue) McCormick, Margie Wolski, Eileen (Jim) Murphy, Trish (Joe) Wilson, Mary (Ed) Kelly, Joan (Jeff) Williams, Jim (Judy) McCormick, Brian (Lorraine) McCormick, Kathy Callahan

His love and laughter will be remembered by his nieces, nephews, cousins, loving in-laws and friends.

Visitation: Saturday, February 15th after 10:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Saturday, February 15th at 12noon.

Interment will be private.
