Obituary of Raymond J. Fox
Raymond John Fox, 74, of Media, Pa., formerly of Blackwood, NJ died Friday, February 21, 2025 at home. He was a proud US Army Veteran, serving on various assignments between 1968 -1988, including Vietnam, with two tours each in Germany and Korea. He earned many awards and commendations for his work in construction, demolition and as an instructor.
For many years, he was self-employed and owned and operated Ray Fox Carpentry in Media., PA. A devoted member of Middletown Presbyterian Church, where he served both as an elder and as sexton, he was responsible for many of the church's recent renovations.
Ray was a .member of the George Bartram - Paul Sand Masonic Lodge #298, and sat as Worshipful Master in 2016, 2020 and 2021. He also belonged to Tall Cedars and The Philadelphia Scottish Rite Consistory.
Son of the late Andrew and Myrtle (Kitchner) Fox, he was the brother of the late Joan Fox and Myrtle Tenenber,
He is survived by his loving wife, Linda H. Fox, son, Raymond Fox, Jr., stepchildren Lisa (Robert) Schmiedel and Eric Anderson, grandchildren, Kevin, Kailey, Brinley, Tommy and Will, brother Andrew Fox and sisters Ruth (Joseph) Juhas and Linda (Jay) Hoffecker, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Saturday, March 1st from 9:30-10:45AM at the Middletown Presbyterian Church, 273 S. Old Middletown Rd., Media, PA 19063.
Masonic Service will be held at 10:45AM
Funeral Service: Saturday, March 1st at 11:00AM at the Church.
Military Honors will follow the service.
Interment will be private.
