Condolences
You weren't just a great friend; you were my brother, my partner in all things computers and laughter, and my steady rock through life’s ups and downs. The memories we created together will stay with me forever—your kindness, your humor, and your unwavering friendship are etched into my soul.
I still can’t believe you’re gone, and the world feels emptier without you. Thank you for the incredible gift of your friendship; it was one of the greatest blessings of my life.
I will really miss you !!!!
Rest easy, my dear friend, until we meet again.
My dad shared with me that one of his favorite memories was taking us to the beach. He loved taking us out to jump waves. He was a great teacher in teaching us how to navigate and jump the waves of life. It’s even better when you have your dad holding your hand navigating all the waves that life throws at you. No matter what my dad was always there, loving his family.
He also loved picking up crabs on the way home from the beach and letting them walk around the floor before cooking them. There was always something fun going on in the big blue house we lived in. A house that always had an open door for anyone that to come visit.
Thank you dad for always loving me and giving me the gift of three amazing sisters. You taught me that family is the most important gift and how important it is to simply love.
We love you and miss you.
In the fall of 1969 I was 19, on my own for the first time and trying to get through my 2nd year at the music academy. A musician friend of mine introduced me to Lou, we became friends right away and soon after, Lou hired me to teach drum lessons at his music studio. The friendship and the job helped a lot. I was living in a boarding house not far from the little apartment where Lou and his roommate Al were living. I liked both of those guys, started visiting and at some point, Lou asked if I’d want to move in! Well heck yeah! After living alone it was so fun to live with great room mates. I remember a lot of talking, laughing and great music. Lou had an excellent stereo system with great records and FM radio had just come in. I remember a party where Lou invited his teacher friends and Al invited some of his social worker friends. Some of the guests seemed a little “straight,” maybe a little conservative and some even wearing ties. Lou answered the door wearing a toga with “LOVE “ painted on his forehead with dayglow paint. Every time he turned his head toward his black light the “LOVE” would light up the room! Lou knew how to make people immediately loosen up and relax! That was one of many great parties!
The next summer (1970) I went back to Wyoming to work for the music festival again and in September came back to PA and moved in with Lou and Al in their new and larger apartment. Later, when they bought the house on Bethel Road I moved in there. Thanks to Lou, I always had a nice place to live in the early 70s when I was in the east. One of my last visits was the Christmas of 1974 when I showed up with a wife and a new baby. We had a excellent dinner and a wonderful evening. I’ve always been glad that Diane got to meet Lou and I’ve always been grateful to have met and become friends with Lou. He not only helped me get started in life but taught me a lot about living and enjoying life. He was a great guy and I’ve always been thankful! Ken Palmore
I have too many good memories to share here but I will always have the memory of how much my dad wholeheartedly loved his family. I was so very lucky to have him as my dad. He taught me so many important lessons in life and they made me a better person. Thank you dad for loving me. I will forever love you.
