Obituary of Teresa E. Durkin

Teresa E. (Nee Bailey) Durkin, age 95, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Chester, PA,  has left this earth on Thursday, March 6, 2025 to be with the love of her life, Jim, in Heaven.  She leaves behind her six children.

Teresa was born on February 6, 1930.  She was a devoted homemaker. She also worked at KYJ’s Bakery, Brookhaven, PA.

Teresa was a parishioner of the Church of Our Lady of Charity, where she was a member of the choir. She was a member of the Cambridge Estates Civic Association.  She enjoyed bowling and loved playing pinochle and bridge with her many friends.

Teresa devoted her life to her husband, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Teresa had a beautiful heart, a keen wit and compassion for all. She will truly be missed. God could not get a better Angel.

Wife of the late James Durkin, Sister of the late Gloria Sterusky, Dorothy Brogan, Florence Valent, Joseph Bailey, Daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Nasko) Bailey.

Great-Grandchildren: Lily Watkins, Stella Cook, Mary Connor, Michael Luptowski, Jr. Makayla Lupowski, Nola Wilkinson

Visitation: Thursday, March 13th after 10:00AM at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.

Funeral Mass: Thursday, March 13th at 11:30AM at the church.

Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
