Mr Lavella was a very kind gentle man. Always had a warm smile on his face. I knew him 40 years ago when I dated his son Tommy. Sad to learn of his passing. Sending prayers to his family Paula

I spent so much of my teenage years at Tom and Jeans house. Kathy being my best friend, many weekends and vacations were shared with her family. Tom was incredibly generous and kind. He treated me like a daughter. He always opened his home to me and made me feel welcomed and cared for. He was a loving sweet father to Kathy and always extended that treatment to me. I will never forget all the good memories I have because of Tom. Like when he would ice up the front hill for us to get maximum speed out of our green machines. Later after hours of fun Tom would wave us inside because he made hot chocolate for us. He would have the family room nice and toasty with the kerosene heater already on. Then there was the big trip to Disney. Tom treated us to every amazing experience you could have. From the best hotel to many beautiful dinners in some of the nicest places. Everything was planned out ahead of time. His main concern was that all of us had a good time. He was the same way with his beautiful pool every weekend in the summer. He and Jean hosted so many gatherings. Always Toms main concern was our fun. He would get chicken from chicken delight and make burgers on the grill and he and Jean would wait on all of us.He just always wanted his family to have a great time. He made sure of it. He treated me the same as his family. I felt so lucky. When I opened my business he invited me to his salon so he could teach anything he knew that he thought would help me. As he had already run a successful business for many years. That was one of the best examples I have of how good Tom was to me.That really meant a lot to me. I will always appreciate him and those good memories. He was a good kind soul.
