Obituary of Marjorie Ann Dyckman

Marjorie A. (Hovis) Dyckman, age 80, of Aston, PA, formerly of Youngstown, OH, died on Monday, April 7, 2025. Margie was a graduate of South High School, Class of 1962.  In 1966, she received her Bachelor’s Degree from Youngstown University.

Margie worked various retail jobs. She was a member of St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, Aston, PA. 

Margie was active with the Aston Seniors Club, where she enjoyed going on trips. She was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley and one of her favorite trips was visiting Graceland. Margie loved all things chocolate. She also adored dogs of all kinds.

Most importantly, her lifelong devotion that she cherished was being Mom and Grandma. She found great joy in spending time with her family and attending their extracurricular activities.

Margie brought joy and kindness to so many,and she will be missed beyond measure.

Daughter of the late Albert and Vera Wehnes Hovis; mother of the late Albert C. Dyckman; Sister to the late Robert Hovis.

Survivors:

Husband of 58 years: John C. Dyckman

Son: Eric (Heather) Dyckman

Daughter: Karen (AJ) Russo

Grandchildren: Mason, Kendra, Maya, Sofia

Also survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: Saturday, April 12^th after 10:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Saturday, April 12^th at 11:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Mt. Hope Cemetery.
