Condolences
It’s taken me awhile to pull my thoughts together about just how long I’ve known Mickey, and how very thankful & blessed I am for every minute since meeting the matriarch of the Goodale family as I saw it!
I became fast friends with Mickey & Mac’s daughter Terrie a classmate at TCA since 5th grade. From the start I was welcomed into this fun loving family, with all memories being framed in LAUGHTER! I can’t remember a time that there wasn’t hysterical laughter woven through every thing we did. Growing up , fast forward to my children being welcomed just as I was when young. The joy and total acceptance made for several decades where I learned just how much Mickey & Mac gave of themselves.
Mickey will be forever in my heart laughing & supporting me inspiring me. Her legacy is her wonderful family with whom I’m still so happy to feel a part of.
To the Goodale family, so sorry to hear of your loss. Barb was so fun to be around during the 82nd combat engineers reunions
Aunt Mickey will.always be in my thoughts and.prayers, she was the best Aunt! I enjoyed being in her company very much! Of course I have many memories growing up as a kid and.as an adult. But a most recent one was the party her kids threw her for her 90th birthday which I believe was a year or too before her 90th, and as. I was helping her get in the car to go home , she took my hand and asked me who was the party for, and when I told her it was for her we both had a good laugh! She was married to my Uncle Mac who was my mom's Betty Alexander's brother. I know Uncle Mac was waiting for her and others , and I know he will take good care of her, and God will welcome her home. She will be missed!
Love always, her Niece Randi Alexander
After mom died, Dad was quite adverse to leaving the house, but one place he would happily go (he even initiated the visit if I hadn’t offered yet) was to Sunrise to visit with Mickey! I’d get them set up with the Phillies (if it was summertime) and go run errands or work. When I’d return toward the end of the game I’d hear from them both what the ‘Sillies’ did wrong (if they lost) and what plays they would’ve called for the Phils instead (even if they won). Mickey, send down some blessings to those ‘Sillies’ and ‘them ‘Iggles’! We are grateful and blessed to have had you as part of our extended family! Rest in peace in Jesus’ arms
Though Mickey was part of my extended family and I didn’t see her often, what immediately comes to mind when I think of her, is her smile. She radiated warmth. She will be missed dearly by her wonderful family she created, and comfort can only be in knowing she is with Mac now, surrounded in the peace of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
