Obituary of Suzanne Wesley Borden
Suzanne Borden (nee DeMonde) passed away peacefully on Friday, August 1, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones. Leaving behind a family shaped by her strength and determination and presence.
Suzanne was a complex and unforgettable women – fiercely independent, strong willed and unapologetically herself. She was the beloved wife of Alan Borden and the proud mother of three children Diana Murray, the late Daniel Brady, and Suzanne Brady. She also played a central role in raising her grandson Michael Szeliga offering guidance and structure in her own way.
In addition to her children, Suzanne is survived by her stepchildren Tina, Tammy, is predeceased by her stepson Preston. She is also survived by her oldest sister Joan Dorrin and predeceased by her sister Diana Huck.
She was the grandmother of Brian Martin, Crystal Cooper, Leanne Campbell, Michael Szeliga and Michael Brady – each of whom carry pieces of her resilience and fire.
Suzanne had a lifelong love for shopping, a taste for the finer things and a personality that could fill a room. Though at times she was tough and often saw the world through her own unique lens, she was constant force in her family’s life and a legacy of grit, style, and unmistakable presence.
Her story, like many lives was filled with strength.
She will be remembered in her own way by each person who knew her.
A private service will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in Suzannes name can be made to a charity of her choosing.
