Obituary of Barbara S. Engler

Barbara S. Engler “Barb,” age 64, a lifetime resident of Upland, PA, died on Friday, September 5, 2025.

Barbara attended Notre Dame High School Class of 1979. After high school, Barb worked in retail for more than 44 years; Seven Seas pet store and prior to that Bradlee’s. She had a great love for animals, especially Belgian Tervurens. Her fur babies were her world, Shalee and Falco.

Barb was a lifelong fan of NASCAR and devoted admirer of Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt Junior. Barb also enjoyed going to the dirt racing track. This was a tradition that brought her happiness and connection with those she loved. Her favorite vacations were to Assateague Island, where she loved watching the wild ponies in their natural habitat.

Daughter of the late Donald J. Engler. Sister of the late Thomas P. Engler. Aunt of the late Jonathan Claytor.

Survivors:

Mother: Mary Lou Engler

Sisters: Cathy (Fred) Prendergast, Dot (Jim) Bowden, and Jacki Engler

Brother: Joe (Karen) Engler

Nieces and Nephews: Jeremy (Agnieszka) Claytor, Amanda (Brian) Dillon, Brian Bowden, Madelyn Engler, and Michelle (Pat) Murray

Great Nephews: Noah and Sammy

Visitation: Sunday, September 14th after 10:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Sunday, September 14th at 11:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Private.
