Obituary of Jane G. Evans

Jane (Glackin) Evans, age 87, of Aston, PA, formerly of Brookhaven, PA, died at home on Saturday, September 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Jane was a graduate of Media High School, Class of 1956.

Jane retired from Ship n Shore and held various other accounting and bookkeeping jobs. She was the Administrator of Middletown Presbyterian Cemetery for 53 years.

Jane was a devoted member of Middletown Presbyterian Church, where she served on many committees and was an Elder.  

She had a love for needlepoint, knitting and sewing, creating many beautiful pieces over the years. Her happy place was spending time at Ocean City, NJ. Jane’s devotion to her family and home was unwavering and she tenderly cared for her husband, Bill.

Daughters: Susan E. Evans, Pamela E. (Jim) Dempsey and Sandra E. Evans

Grandsons: James R. (Stephanie) Dempsey, III and Gregory W. (Ashley) Dempsey

Great-Grandchildren: Jack and Emily

Brother: Donald L. (Joyce) Glackin

Sister-in-Law: Alice Cummings

Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Monday, September 15^th from 6:00-8:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063, and Tuesday, September 16^th after 10:00AM at the Middletown Presbyterian Church, 273 S. Old Middletown Rd., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, September 16^th at 11:00AM at Middletown Presbyterian Church.

Interment: Middletown Presbyterian Cemetery.
