John O'Malley (Johnny O’)

John O'Malley, 85, of King of Prussia, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, passed away September 25, 2025.
Born July 5, 1940, in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Moran) O'Malley.
He served honorably in the U.S. Marine Corps.
John was a proud member of Ironworker’s Local 401, where he began his apprenticeship in December 1964 and then became a journeyman in October 1966. He worked for the Union until retirement in January 2000.
Throughout his life, John was an avid reader and Philadelphia sports fan. He particularly enjoyed watching his beloved Phillies and Eagles. During his time in the military, he developed an affection for the Spanish culture, learning to speak the language and becoming interested in the tradition of bullfighting--even participating in the running of the bulls in Pamplona.
John was the loving father of Caryn Chester (Robert); adoring grandfather to Robert Toland, and Emma Chester; great grandfather to Wyatt Toland and Mason Toland.
Dear brother of William “Bill”, Daniel “Danny”, Joseph, Edward, Marty, Thomas “Tom”, Claire “Cookie”, Regina “Jean”, Theresa Rose, Elizabeth “Betty”, Cassie, Helen, Mary, Margaret “Peg”, and Nancy.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Minshall Shropshire Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds. Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063. Interment: Media Cemetery.
