Paul Truett

Obituary of Paul C. Truett

Paul Cameron Truett, 63, of Upper Chichester passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 29th.

Paul was born on March 11th, 1962 to Pastor Paul Truett and his wife Vera. A long time Aston resident, he graduated from Sun Valley High School in 1980. He spent many years working for the Postal Service and at the Brandywine River Museum.

Paul was a loving husband of almost 40 years to Dawn Truett, and a caring father to his daughter Adrienne (Truett) Crean, her husband Jon, and his son Cameron Truett and his wife Anna.

Besides his roles as husband and father, Paul was a man of countless passions and interests. He served faithfully at his church and had many roles that ranged from running the youth group, leading a puppet ministry for 14 years, and serving many years as a deacon. While his faith in Christ was the most important thing to him, he was also passionate about movies and television. He loved few things more than Star Wars and Scooby-Doo but could speak endlessly about almost any old sci-fi movie or show. He loved to make movies with his friends and family- writing scripts, building props and sets, and filming them when he could. He loved collecting toys, models, movies, and Legos, and would never hesitate to tell you about them in great detail.

Paul is predeceased by his father Paul, his mother Vera, and his sisters Leslie and Beverly and grandson Carter Crean, his nephew Robert Martin, his niece Ellen Stokes.

He leaves behind his wife Dawn, daughter Adrienne (Jonathan), son Cameron (Anna), and grandchildren: Kaleb, Sara, Alexander, Logan, Cassidy, Amara, Dean, and Sophia, and his sister Brenda Martin and brother-in-law David Shahadi and many nieces and nephews.
