Obituary of Joan F. Brunner

Joan Florence (Lafferty) Brunner, age 92, of Media, PA, formerly of Philadelphia, PA, died on Friday, October 31, 2025 at Riddle Hospital surrounded by family.  Joan was born on November 21, 1932 and was a graduate of Simon Gratz High School, Philadelphia, PA.

Joan was a secretary with several organizations before becoming the longtime office manager of Aston Township, until her retirement.

Joan was a devoted church member of Calvary Church, Rockdale, PA and St. Simeons N. Wildwood, NJ and Christ Church Media.  She enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake and spending time in Cape May, NJ and the Florida Keys with her family and many dear friends.

Wife of the late the Very Rev. Arthur F. Brunner; Mother of the late Karl Brunner, Grandmother of the late Claudia Murphy and Sister of the late William Lafferty.

Survivors:

Children: Gail (David) Brunner, Glen (Marguerite) Brunner, Lisa (Scott) Brunner Bireley, Kurt (Carol) Brunner, Micah (Mary Beth) Brunner

Grandchildren: Lauren (Vic) Ranieri, Christine (Joe) McEntee, Alexis (Chuck) Beckman, Eric (Allie) Brunner, Kyle (Jake) Brunner, Emily (Brian) Kavanagh, Allie (Chris) Brunner

Great-Grandchildren: Mia, Hunter, Paige, Logan and Anna

Visitation: Friday, November 7th after 10:00AM at Christ Church Media, 311 S. Orange Street, Media, PA, 19063.

Funeral Service: Friday, November 7th at 11:00AM at the church.

Interment will be private at a later date.
