Obituary of Susan D. Tezla

Susan D. (Burlew) Tezla, age 71, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Folcroft, PA, died on Friday, December 26, 2025. Sue was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, Class of 1972. She attended West Chester University from 1972-1974. 

Sue was a Travel Agent with PA Travel Agency for more than 30 years, until retiring in 2021. 

Sue lived a wonderful life. Sue grew up in the 50’s and 60’s where streets, sidewalks and backyards were full with kids playing various outdoor games. Sue loved being a mother to her two children Kristina and Kevin. Summers consisted of spending many days at the Folcroft pool. Being a Travel Agent allowed Sue to travel to many different countries, visits to National Parks and numerous amounts of cruises. Sue’s greatest happiness came from time spent with her beloved children, grandchildren and family. 

Sue was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Brookhaven, PA. 

Daughter of the late Ray O. Burlew, Jr. and Vera Elizabeth (Flurick) Burlew- Hoster.

Survivors:

Daughter: Kristina (Steven) Tezla-Clack

Son: Kevin (Danielle Pescatore) Tezla

Grandchildren: Victoria Clack, Tyler Clack, Justin Tezla and Vincent Tezla

Sister: Barbara Burlew Hall

Brother: Craig (Karen) Burlew

Also survived by nieces, nephew, grand-nieces and grand-nephews

Visitation: Sunday, January 4th from 6:00-8:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063, and Monday, January 5th after 10:00AM at the Christ United Methodist Church, 600 Dutton Mill Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.

Funeral Service: Monday, January 5th at 11:00AM at the Church.

Interment will be private.
