Obituary of Martha McCann
Martha McCann (nee Ebeling) of Ambler, PA passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on Monday, January 12, 2026. She was born in Union City, NJ on November 6, 1934 to the late Charles and Charlotte Ebeling.
Martha lived in Pompton Lakes, Butler, Bloomingdale, and West Milford before moving to Ambler, PA in 1997. Martha was the beloved wife of the late Thomas McCann (1991) and the late Raymond Richter (2016).
Martha was a woman of strength, resolve, and confidence. Long before it was common for women to do so, she was a working mother, building a career in banking while raising a family. She was known for her determination and care for both her work and her home. She will be remembered with love and respect for her consistency, her values, and the example she set for those around her. The life she built continues to shape and inspire those who were lucky enough to know her.
Martha was the loving mother of William Mayer, Jr. and his wife Karen of Media, PA and Donna Williams and her husband Mark of Budd Lake, NJ. She was the beloved grandmother of Beth Blakey and her husband Takashi, Brian Williams, Brandon Williams and his wife Christy, Jonathan Mayer and his wife Violet, and David Mayer.
She was also the very loving great-grandmother (affectionately known as GiGi) to Layla, Kaden, Penelope, Nolan, Vera, Valen, Aislinn, and Alistair. Martha was predeceased by her sisters Elsie and Caroline.
Visitation: Monday, January 19th after 11:30AM, followed by a service at 12noon at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.
