Obituary of Mary F. Dougherty

A beloved mother, grandmother, GG, sister, and aunt passed away peacefully Tuesday,  January 20, 2026. She was born in Philadelphia and was one of 10 children of William W Fagan and Sarah Elder Fagan. She is predeceased by her husband of 52 years Edward  M. Dougherty and her son Joseph Gerard. She is also predeceased by her siblings William Fagan, Anna Ward, Catherine Mannella, Martin Fagan, Dorothy Scanlan, Sister Anne William (Margaret Fagan), Francis Brodia, and Joseph Fagan.

Mary worked as a Medical Secretary at Baldwins in Eddystone and was a long-time resident of Delco living in Norwood, Chester and Brookhaven.

She was a devoted and active member of Resurrection of Our Lord (Chester) and Our Lady of Charity (Brookhaven) churches. She was an active member of the Charitians and Retired Oil Workers. She enjoyed the numerous trips to the casinos and various cities with these organizations. She also loved to spend time with family at the Jersey shore and Disney World.

She is survived by her children, Mary Malaney (Gary), Edward (Anne), William (Maureen), Terrence (Monique) and Timothy (Sharon) and her brother Paul Fagan. She is also survived by her 8 Grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Visitation: Saturday, January 31st, from 10:00-11:15AM at the Church of Our Lady of Charity, 231 Upland Rd., Brookhaven, PA 19015.

Funeral Mass: Saturday, January 31st at 11:30AM at the Church.

Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
