John Meli gave me my chance at Widener. I was still completing my Masters Degree and he hired me as a Senior Lecturer. He supported me tremendously throughout my career at Widener. I loved talking sports with John and talking about his time growing up in Chester.
I loved seeing him at Widener events, particularly homecoming and the SBA Banquet.
The world has truly lost a great man and my deepest sympathies and prayers go out to his family at this difficult time.
