Obituary of Douglas C. Roger, Jr.

Douglas C. Roger, age 76, of Middletown Township, Media, PA, died on Monday, April 20, 2026, with his loving daughter by his side. Born in Bridgeton, NJ, he was the son of the late Douglas C. and Helen (Sox) Roger.

Doug graduated from Bridgeton High School, Widener University and Temple University School of Law.

A practicing attorney, Doug served with the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office before opening his own private legal practice. He later served as the Director for the Delaware County Public Defender’s Office.

Doug served the residents of Middletown Township dutifully for over twenty years in the role of member and Chairman of Township Council. Working to help the residents and maintain the community he loved brought him immense pride and joy. 

He enjoyed traveling, photography, and woodworking. He was also an avid Harley owner, where he found freedom in his riding.

Husband of the late Susan Pepino Roger and loving father of the late Jenny and Nicholas Roger. He is survived by his daughter Nora (William) Plucinsky, daughters via friendship Shawn Leeson and Nicole Carl, sister Janis Wells, sister-in-law Kathy (Jerry) Guarini, niece Liza Wells, and nephew Jon Wells. 

A Gathering will be held on Thursday, April 30th from 10:00-11:30AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.
