Obituary of Cheryl Lynne Becker

Cheryl Lynne Becker, “Cher” age 34, of Springfield, PA, died at home on Thursday, May 14, 2026, after a lifelong struggle with depression, anxiety and addiction.

Cher was a graduate of Springfield High School, Class of 2009.  She held various jobs over the years, including an IT Tech with Pfizer and worked retail with the former Joanne Fabrics, PetSmart and Swiss Farms.

Cheryl was a truly artistic soul who found joy in painting, drawing, and creating her own jewelry. She loved expressing herself through creativity, whether experimenting with new hairstyles and makeup looks or bringing beauty to life through her artwork. An avid animal lover, Cheryl had a gentle heart and deep compassion for all creatures, especially her cats Skywalker, “Princess” Leia, Georgia and her puppy Gina. She also loved attending concerts and appreciated a wide variety of music genres. Spending time in nature was among her happiest moments whether it was summer float trips on the Lehigh River, spending time at Jim Thorpe or relaxing on New Jersey beach trips. Cheryl was grateful for the chance to travel to Jamaica, Mexico and Punta Cana. Cher had a deep passion for reading and revisiting her favorite books, especially enjoying the works of authors Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahniuk, and Shel Silverstein.  Cheryl will be deeply missed by the lives she touched.
