Obituary of Virginia H. Kowalczyk

Virginia "Ginny" Hall Kowalczyk, age 70, of Glen Mills, PA, formerly of Wellesley, Randolph, Walpole, and Franklin, MA, Wilmington, DE, and Brookhaven PA passed away peacefully on Monday, May 25, 2026.

Born June 16, 1955 and raised in Wellesley, MA, Ginny was known by all as an incredibly kind, caring person, a dedicated friend, and devoted mother and grandmother. She was a graduate of Elizabeth Seton High School in 1973 and Lassell Junior College. On August 20, 1977, she married the love of her life, Daniel L. Kowalczyk. She loved to travel, and spent many happy memories with friends in San Diego, CA. She worked for many years as a medical transcriptionist, first for McLean Hospital in Belmont, MA, and then for a private medical practice, and later worked for Christmas Tree Shops before retirement. The role she cherished most, however, was that of a mother. She was incredibly proud of her sons and their personal and professional accomplishments.

Ginny was preceded in death by her parents, Doris H. Smith and Arthur W. Hall as well as by her husband. She is survived by sons Dr. Timothy D. Kowalczyk (and spouse Dr. G McGrew) of Bellingham, WA and Jeffrey A. Kowalczyk, (and spouse Emily Zarek) of Media, PA and by her two beloved grandchildren, Eliza and John (J.D.) Kowalczyk.

In accordance with her wishes, interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ginny’s memory to the Defeat MSA Alliance (defeatmsa.org) or to the Mayo Clinic (mayoclinic.org), whose care she treasured as she navigated her final years.
