Condolences
To the Davis Family,
I taught with Bill at Northey Middle School. It was my first public school teaching experience. He always had a smile, a quick story and an infectious laugh. He was a great teacher because he always had time for his students. He was truly a good man and will be missed.
I have very fond memories of passing by the baseball diamond and seeing Bill, Glenn and Ben and sometimes a friend out having batting practice in the rawest of weather in the offseason. Good times for me many decades ago getting to know the family and hanging with them on the baseball diamond. Was also a co-alumni with Bill from little known Mansfield University - great minds things alike :>. Dearest condolences on the loss of your awesome father/spouse. God bless.
Cheryl sorry for your loss. Billy was a great man to walk through life with. My deepest condolences. b
Cheryl my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Eddystone Forever 1
Cheryl, Glenn, Ben and entire Davis family, we are so very sorry for your loss. Bill was such a positive influence on so many children both in the classroom and on countless fields and courts. He had a uniquely competitive spirit which spread and encouraged others to do more, be more. The Gormley family was and are grateful for the experiences and memories we shared with Bill and the entire Davis family.
Dear Ben and Megan, please accept my deepest condolences. Ben's support of our organization has meant so much to all of us. It’s clear that his dedication to giving back and growing the game of baseball comes from the values and love of the sport his father instilled in him. His father's legacy and teachings live on through Ben's generosity and impact he has made at Pitch In For Baseball and Softball.
Cheryl my deepestest condolences to you and your family. Billy was one of my favorite people growing up in Eddystone. I remember him always smiling. Last year I posted my Dad's graduation picture Eddystone class of 1936. Billy send me the most beautiful text about my Dad being the teacher he looked up to the most and how much he admired him. I was so touched he took the time to reach out to me. Billy will be missed by so many. Love and prayers to you and your family. Rest in Peace Billy.
Mrs Davis, Glenn, Ben and family, so sorry to hear about the passing of Mr. Davis. He will be truly missed. I will always remember all the times we spent together especially during the greatest summer ever, 1988. His dedication to his family was evident, no more than when myself and Jerry drove past Aston Middletown Little League field on Christmas Eve on the way to my grandparents. What we saw was Mr Davis throwing batting practice to Ben and Glenn. I still laugh about it to this day telling my kids this story. We are thinking and praying for you.
Mr. Davis was my favorite teacher. He had a great knack for teaching and keeping us interested. He always made class fun. I adored him. Ran into him years ago and he still remembered me. Hugs to his family ❤️
I am so incredibly sorry to hear about the loss of Bill. It has been years since we worked together Cheryl, but I will always remember what a fun guy he was, his deep love for baseball, teaching, and above all, how much he loved you and the boys. Holding you close in my thoughts and sending you all my love during this difficult time. With deepest sympathy.
Dear Cheryl, Glenn, Ben, and brother Vernon, please accept our deepest condolences. Bill was one of the nicest and warmest people I ever knew. Through the years, I remember Bill as always asking about family, and one to lift a group with laughter and kindness. May God Bless and grant You solace; and may the wonderful memories of Bill come forward to assuage, in some small way, the pain of your loss. But now, Heaven will enjoy his wonderfulness!
Bill had such a great sense of humor. We have wonderful memories spending time with Bill, Cheryl, Glenn & Ben at Aston Middletown Little League & the many parties they had around their pool. We will cherish those memories always. We will definitely miss you. Love to Cheryl & the Davis family
Every conversation I had with Mr. Davis was awesome! He brought a smile to my face each time. My heart goes out to the Davis family. Angels have led him in for his eternal peace with the Lord.
Truly at a loss for words and deeply saddened by the loss of such an amazing man.
Mr. Davis was not only a former teacher of mine, but more than 30 years later, he was still sending the kindest and most sincere messages—always cheering on me, my son, and my family. I know he and my dad stayed in touch over the years and shared many wonderful memories, but what I hope he truly knew was the impact he had on my life.
His sweet messages always made me smile and think of him. Whether we were talking about baseball, school, family, or he was sending a funny video that made him think of me, those moments meant the world. He was positive, kind, influential, and an incredible teacher—but he was also a friend.
Mr. Davis was a wonderful man, a man of faith, who will be deeply missed. He left a lasting imprint on so many lives and will always hold a special place in my heart.
Rest easy, Mr. Davis. You are loved by so many of us. We are better people for having crossed paths with you.
I hold so much love and admiration for Billy. I pray Cheryl, Ben, Glenn, and the grandkids find great comfort in Billy's love for them. I haven't spent any time with him recent years, but I do know his family meant the world to him.
Billy has been the glue that kept the O'Malley Clan legacy alive and well among all the cousins. I remember so many fun family times when we were all kids. The O'Malley aunts and uncles were all close and family gatherings were plentiful. Those family times were filled with laughter, so much laughter. Our lives are filled with memories, but for me the memories I hold dearest are the memories of each and every aunt, uncle, and cousin. Billy has been the glue to keep all those memories alive. I'm going to miss him so much.
With love,
Debbie
I would like to offer my sincere condolences to the Davis Family. I played Lttle League Baseball with Bill in Eddystone. I recently began communicating with Bill and I am deeply saddened by his passing. Bill was a wonderful person and a good ballplayer. The last time we met was at Joe Hughes' funeral where Bill gave a tribute to Joe including a great story about his time playing Little League baseball. May God bless Cheryl, Ben abd Glenn and may the memories of Bill comfort you and help you in this sorrowful time in you life.
Cheryl and family,so sorry for your loss. I knew you and Bill in high school, sorry I will not be able to attend the viewing, again sorry for your loss. Ex-stoner Rich Esrey
My deepest sympathies and prayers on your loss. May he rest in peace!
Sending light and love to Mrs Davis, Glenn and Ben. While Mr Davis was one of my teachers, he also was one of my Dads softball buddies. Glenn, Ben and I spent many of days/nights hanging out while our Dads played ball. He was an amazing man and will be truly missed by many.
Condolences to the Davis family. Mr Davis was my favorite sixth grade teacher in Northley Middle School. I also had the pleasure of knowing him in 5 th grade at Green Ridge Elementary. He was one of those teachers who make a lasting impression and I will never forget him. RIP MR DAVIS.
Cheryl, Ben and Glenn, Sandy, Molly and I are truely sorry for your loss. Having gone through the loss of our son we have a sense of how deep your pain is.
So, as we gather to remember and honor someone who meant so much to all of us—Billy Davis.
It is difficult to find the right words when saying goodbye to someone who has been such a meaningful part of our lives. A husband, father, brother and cousin who is often one of our first friends, someone who shares our family history, our childhood memories, and the bonds that connect generations. For me, that was exactly who Billy was.
Billy brought warmth, laughter, and kindness wherever he went. He had a way of making people feel welcome, understood, and valued. Whether through a smile, a joke, a helping hand, or simply his presence. He was the glue that kept the O’Malley Clan together. Always remembering anniversaries whether they were birthdays or the passing of our loved ones. He would reach out through phone calls or text messages letting us know that he shared our joy and grief.
Personally he never forgot my birthday or the birthdays of my family (Sandy, Skip and Molly) and when Skip passed away he called expressing how grief stricken he was and he would text or call every year on Skip’s birthday and the date of his passing. Only a loving caring person would do that. He touched the lives of so many people.
I will always cherish the memories we shared—the family gatherings, the conversations, the moments of laughter, and even the challenges we faced together. Those memories have become treasures that I will carry with me forever.
What made Billy special was not only what he did, but who he was. He showed us the importance of family, loyalty, compassion, and love. He reminded us that life's greatest gifts are the relationships we build and the people we hold close.
Although our hearts are heavy with grief, we can also be grateful. Grateful that we had the privilege of knowing Billy, loving him, and being loved by him. His life was a blessing, and his memory will continue to inspire us.
As we say goodbye today, we do not say goodbye to the impact Billy had on our lives. That remains. It lives on in our stories, our memories, our values, and in the love we continue to share with one another.
Rest in peace, Bill. I know that you are now in the loving embrace of our Lord, Jesus Christ…The Spirit in the Sky. You will be deeply missed, forever remembered, and always loved.
Phil

To Cheryl and the extended Davis Family, I want to say how sorry I am to hear of Bill’s passing. Some of my fondest memories are of playing little league, Norwood Legion baseball and high school basketball with Bill. He was a talented athlete and a fun guy to be around. I reached out to him this past July and we reminisced a bit. I’m so glad we got the opportunity. He was a great man and I was blessed to have had him as a friend. God bless you.
