Obituary of Patricia Ann Hanna
Patricia Ann Hanna
Patricia Ann Hanna, 93, of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
Born on August 31, 1932, in Youngstown, Ohio, Patricia was the beloved daughter of Roy and Mae Hedges. Known affectionately to family and friends as "Pat," she lived a life defined by grace, compassion, and unwavering devotion to those she loved.
Pat graduated from St. Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing in Youngstown and began a distinguished career as a registered nurse. She served patients in hospitals and medical clinics throughout Ohio, bringing comfort, skill, and kindness to countless individuals during their times of need.
She shared more than fifty wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Charles Hanna, whose memory she cherished following his passing. Together they built a loving home and raised a family that remained the center of Pat's life.
After her nursing career, Pat embarked on a successful second profession in real estate. As an agent with Berkshire Hathaway in Media, Pennsylvania, for more than twenty years, she helped families find not just houses, but homes. Her warmth, integrity, and genuine concern for others earned the trust and admiration of clients and colleagues alike.
Pat's talents extended far beyond her professional accomplishments. Pat played tennis until she was 80 years old. A gifted seamstress, she lovingly designed and created wedding gowns, First Communion dresses, and baptismal gowns for family and friends. Every stitch reflected the care, artistry, and generosity that defined her life. Her quiet kindness, gentle spirit, and remarkable patience brought comfort and calm to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Family was Pat's greatest joy. She was a devoted mother to five children: Matthew Hanna, Mary Stratton, Charles Hanna, and her beloved daughters, Claire Hanna and Christine Hanna, who preceded her in death. She cherished every moment spent with her twelve grandchildren and delighted in beginning to know her ten great-grandchildren, whose lives brought her immense happiness.
Pat also believed deeply in serving her community. She was a dedicated volunteer for Meals on Wheels in Media, generously giving her time and energy to help others and exemplifying a life of selfless service.
Patricia's graceful presence, loving heart, and deep appreciation for family and friendship leave a lasting legacy. She will be remembered for her elegance, her strength, her creativity, and the quiet way she made the world better for those around her. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
