Obituary of William F. Haase

William Frederick Haase, 79, of Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2026. 

Born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, Bill was the first of eight children of William and Mary Haase. He was followed by his siblings Mary, Jimmy, Betsy, Christine, Danny, Ginger, and Joanie. From a young age, Bill worked alongside his father in the construction business, building residential homes. He attended Drexel College before dedicating himself full-time to construction. 

In the 1970s, Bill served as the Uwchlan Township Manager before founding his own construction company. He later retired as a respected construction supervisor. Throughout his life, Bill was a faithful servant of God, and many of his later endeavors centered around his church community. He also served on the Brookhaven Zoning Board, continuing his commitment to his town and neighbors. 

Bill married Joan Dowling in 1967, and together they raised two daughters, Jennifer and Jaime. He later welcomed another daughter, Kimberly. Years later, Bill met Susan, who had  met  Bill at his occupational rehab center, and in time their friendship blossomed into love. They married and shared 28 wonderful years together, building a loving home in Brookhaven. Bill was a devoted husband and a caring stepfather to Brian (Tara) Iovino and Missy (Steve) Couch, and a proud grandfather to Nicholas. 

He is also survived by his daughters Jennifer (Bryan) Perkins, with grandsons Zachary (Kendyl) with great-grandsons Lincoln, Ryle, and Carter; Dylan; and Elijah (Neika) with great-grandson Walker. His other daughters are Jaime (Lywun) Vavrick and Kimberly (James) Smith and great grandchildren, Juliet, Liza, and Preston. 

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William and Mary Haase, and his brother, Jimmy Haase and step- granddaughter Kayla, daughter of Brian. 

Bill’s faith was the foundation of his life. He began each morning with spiritual affirmations and time spent reading his beloved Bible. He was always ready to lend a helping hand—whether building a deck for family or remodeling a kitchen for a friend. Bill will be remembered for his tenacity, strength, generosity, and unwavering love for God. He was truly the definition of a man of his word and a man of faith. 

Visitation: Tuesday, August 25th from 10:00- 10:45AM at Hope Presbyterian Church, 601 S. New Middletown Rd., Media, PA 19063

Funeral Service: Tuesday, August 25th at 11:00AM at the Church

Interment: St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester, PA
