Obituary of Alma T. Hubis

Alma (Giltinan) Hubis, age 73, of Media, PA,  passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 23, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Chester, Pennsylvania, Alma was a graduate of Notre Dame High School. She made Parkside her home where she lovingly raised her children. Alma worked as a teacher's aide at Pennell Elementary School and later worked in customer service at National Fulfillment. She retired and enjoyed nine years living in Venice, Florida, before returning home to Media, Pennsylvania.

Alma cherished spending time with her family and friends. She especially enjoyed summers at King Nummy Trail Campground, as well as playing Bingo, Bunke, and bowling with her sisters and friends. Above all, Alma treasured the time she spent with the people she loved.

Alma was predeceased by her beloved son Jerome" Jerry" Hubis Jr., her parents, Charles and Anne Giltinan, her sister, Jeanne Burge, and brothers, Charles Giltinan, John Giltinan and Joe Giltinan.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Jerry Hubis, with whom she shared 53 wonderful years of marriage; her loving children, daughters Jennifer (Stephen) Lesicko, Melinda (Mike) Laird and son Matthew (Miranda) Hubis. She is also survived by her seven beloved grandchildren: Michael, Ava, Alyssa, Joseph, Emily, Matthew, -and Roman.
