Obituary of Clara DeVito

Clara V. (Kummerer) DeVito, age 83, of Brookhaven, PA, died after a lengthy illness on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late Allen and Evelyn (Patton) Kummerer.  Clara was raised in Chester, PA and was a graduate of Chester High School.

Clara was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  She cherished spending time with her family and friends. A kind and generous person, Clara loved life and lived life to its fullest. She was an avid reader and especially enjoyed reading her novels while relaxing in Rehoboth, Delaware.

Clara was predeceased by her loving husband, Dominic DeVito, Jr., and her son, Allen Devito.

Visitation:  Thursday, September 7th, from 10:00-10:45 AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Funeral Service:  Thursday, September 7th, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.

Interment:  Lawn Croft Cemetery, Linwood, PA.
