Obituary of Richard A. Weller, Sr.

Richard A. “Dick” Weller, Sr. age 96, of Aston, PA, died on Wednesday, March 27, 2024.  Dick was born in Chester, PA, and was a 1945 graduate of Chester High School.  Dick was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Mr. Weller retired after 40 years from United Engineers as a designer.  Dick was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, where he was a former trustee.  He was a member of the Aston Township Lions Club, The American Legion Post #926, and a member of the society of the War of 1812.

Dick was a longtime assistant Scout Master and an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed traveling and camping.  He was an avid swimmer and loved spending time at Ocean City, NJ and Bethany Beach, DE.

Son of the late Thomas John Weller and Clara May Baxter; Husband of the late Florence P. (Peppel) Weller; Brother of the late John Weller and Harold Weller

Daughters: Karen (Don) Milne and Sharen (Eric) McGill

Grandchildren: Heather (C.J.) Nee, Connor McGill, Caden McGill, Kristin McGill

Great-Grandson: Charlie Nee

Visitation: Saturday, April 27^th after 10:00AM at Mt. Hope United Methodist Church, 4020 Concord Rd. Aston, PA 19014.

Funeral Service: Saturday, April 27^th at 11:00AM at the church.

Interment: Private.
