Obituary of LeRoy C. Phillips

LeRoy C. Phillips, age 85, of Clayton, DE, formerly of Upper Chichester, PA, died Friday, February 17, 2017, at Christiana Hospital. Born in Orwigsburg, PA, and graduated from Chester High School, Class of 1950. LeRoy was employed with Sun Oil Co. for 42 years, retiring as a Chief Operator. He served 2 years in the U.S. Army, during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated member of the Middletown Baptist Church and served on many church boards. Predeceased by his 2nd son Ronald K. Phillips, and parents Charles Wm. and Ruth L. Phillips Survivors: Wife of 65 years: Rosalie (Umberger) Phillips Sons: LeRoy Phillips of Aston, PA, and Barry Phillips of Lewes, DE Ten Grandchildren and Seven Great-Grandchildren Brother: Charles Phillips of Landenberg, PA Funeral Service: Friday, February 24th at 11:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.
