Obituary of Avis M. Davies

Avis M. Turner Davies, age 87, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Chester, PA, died Friday, February 24, 2017, at Crozer-Keystone Hospice Residence at Taylor Hospital of Ridley Park, PA. Avis was born in Chester and was a graduate of Chester High School, Class of 1947. Mrs. Davies was a member of the Brookhaven Baptist Church. Avis and Bill enjoyed traveling along the East Coast, through Niagara Falls, Williamsburg, VA and the Outer Banks, NC. Avis also enjoyed playing the piano. Daughter of the late Briton W. and Etta Turner, Sr., mother of the late Billy Davies, sister of the late Briton W. Turner, Jr. and Irene Bartholomew. Survivors: Married to her high school sweetheart of 67 years, William Davies Daughters: Linda (Anthony) Marchanti and Karen (Bob) Forte Sister: Etta Mawson 7 Grandchildren 6 Great-Grandchildren 1 Great-Great-Granddaughter Also survived by nieces and nephews Funeral Service: Thursday, March 2nd at 12:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063. Visitation: Thursday, March 2nd after 11:00AM at the funeral home. Interment: Lawn Croft Cemetery.
