Obituary of Joan H. Davies

Joan Hamilton Davies “Mom-Mom”, 85, of Brookhaven, PA, passed away on May 28, 2017.

Joan was born at home in Chester, PA, before moving to Brookhaven in 1937 where she resided for the remainder of her life.  Joan graduated from Nether Providence High School in 1949 and worked for Viscose before becoming a full-time homemaker. Joan spent the majority of her life, raising her children, caring for her grandchildren and supporting her mother, siblings, nieces and nephews.

Mom-Mom proudly attended all of her grandchildren’s school, sports and music events. She was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. Joan loved traveling and especially loved spending time in Western Pennsylvania at the family mountain house. 

Joan was loved by everyone who met her and embraced all of her friends as family. She had a wonderful and colorful sense of humor.

Joan was pre-deceased by her husband Albert T. and son, Albert V. Davies; Parents, Albert and Vada Hamilton and Brothers Albert, Richard, Wayne and Steven.  She is survived by her daughter Kathy A. Williams and grandchildren Laura, Andrew and Alex. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: Saturday, June 3rd at 9:30AM at St. Timothy’s Lutheran Church, 535 Lamp Post Ln, Aston, PA 19014.

Visitation: Saturday, June 3rd from 8:30 to 9:30AM at the church.

Interment: Saturday, June 3rd at 12:00PM at Wolf’s Union Meeting House Cemetery, Lebanon, PA.
