Obituary of Jay W. Johnston

Jay W. Johnston, age 74, a resident of Aston, PA for 35 years and formerly of Chester, PA, died Thursday, August 31, 2017. Jay was born February 27, 1943 in Chester, PA. He was the son of the late John Q. and Thelma (Glatts) Johnston.

Jay was an accountant employed with BP Oil Company in Trainer, PA for 25 years.

Jay enjoyed coaching a basketball youth league, "The Biddy League" in Chester, PA for 20 years and in West Chester, PA for 10 years. He enjoyed jogging, spending time with his family and most of all, cherished time with his grandchildren.

Husband of the late Kay (Coyle) Johnston and brother of the late John Johnston.

Survivors:

Sons: David S. (Sarah) Johnston of Middletown, DE, Daniel P. (Amy) Johnston of West Chester, PA, and Thomas J. (Tiffany) Dwyer, of Gap, PA.

Daughter: Terri Lynn (Michael) Baiocco of Jennersville, PA.

Memorial Service: Friday, September 8th at 11:00AM at Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Visitation: Friday, September 8th after 10:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Private.
