Obituary of Bernard Wenrich
Bernard "Bee" William Wenrich, 87, of Aston Township, formerly of Brookhaven, Pennsylvania went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 15, 2011. Mr. Wenrich was born in Schuylkill Haven, PA and raised in Chester, PA. He moved to Brookhaven and then Aston, 16 years ago.
Mr. Wenrich was a former Police Officer for the Brookhaven Police Department, and retired as a Post Master for the US Postal Service in Folcroft, PA. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 40 years, serving during World War II on the USS Strickland (DE 333). He was awarded the Pacific and American Theater Ribbons, Victory Medal and Navy Unit Citation. He retired as a Command Chief for Navy Special Ops Unit, MIUW604. Following both of these retirements, he continued to support his community as a court officer at the Delaware County Courthouse under The Honorable Frank Hazel. Mr. Wenrich also fulfilled the role of Commander for over 10 years with his local chapter of the VFW.
Preceeded in death by his son, Bernie, who lost a courageous battle to cystic fibrosis at the age of twelve.

Loving wife of 64 years, Bettie W. Wenrich, with whom he had three children.

Son: Philip Wenrich of Chadds Ford, PA
Grandchildren: Amanda Wenrich and Tina Lewis
