Obituary of S. George Rhood, M.D.

S. George Rhood, M.D., age 85, of Upper Providence Twp., PA, passed away on December 27, 2017, surrounded by his family.

Dr. Rhood graduated from Chester High School, Dickinson College and Temple University Medical School. He served his residency at the University of Pennsylvania.

He was Chief of Anesthesia at Crozer Chester Medical Center, until his retirement. He served as President of the Pennsylvania Society of Anesthesia from 1997 to 1998.

He was predeceased by his parents: S. Charles Rhood and Florence G. Rhood , sister Jane Emmanuel and brother Walter Rhood.

Children: Randall G. (Maripat) Rhood, Stuart A. (Jennifer) Rhood, Lynn E. (Don) Dockery, Glenda E. (Jim) Moretti and Duane J. (Susan) Rhood

Also survived by 14 Grandchildren and 5 Great-Grandchildren

Funeral Service: Saturday, December 30th at 11:00AM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Visitation: Saturday, December 30th after 10:00AM at the funeral home.

Interment: Edgewood Memorial Park.
