Obituary of Hugh F. Beddow

Hugh Franklin Beddow, age 86, died Wednesday, October 31, 2018.  Hugh was born April 2, 1932 in Frackville, PA, to Walter J. and Sarah Beddow. Hugh graduated from Frackville High School, Class of 1949. He served in the US Army and fought in the Korean War from 1950-1951. Hugh married Erla Mae Jones on December 18, 1954. Hugh was retired from Birdsboro Steel Foundry, Birdsboro, PA and Post Precision Casting, Straustown, PA.

Hugh was a life member of the VFW and a member of the American Legion in Mechanicsburg, PA.  He was a life member of the Mechanicsburg Club, Mechanicsburg, PA. Hugh was also a 33 year member and Past Master of the Frackville Masonic Lodge #737 F&AM. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Mechanicsburg, PA.

Hugh was preceded in death by his wife Erla; his parents; sister Sarah Huth-Beddow and infant brother Walter.

Grandson: Steven Walter (Kristi) Beddow

Granddaughter: Kathryn Sarah (Nicholas) McCabe-Beddow

Brothers: Lewis Beddow and Franklin R. (Ernestine) Beddow

Visitation: Friday, November 9th from 1:00-3:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyer Funeral Home Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

Graveside Service with Military Honors: Wednesday, November 14^th at 11:30:AM at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA 17003.
