Obituary of Donald A. Powell

 

Donald A. “Donny” Powell, age 60, of Brookhaven, PA, formerly of Aston, PA and Media, PA died Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Donny was a graduate of Sun Valley High School, Class of 1976.  He was a Veteran of the US Airforce, serving from 1976-1980, receiving the Air Force Longevity Service Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal.  After serving in the military, Donny went to the Quaker City Air Power and Frame School. He was employed as an aircraft mechanic at the Philadelphia Airport.  Mr. Powell was a member of Mt. Hope United Methodist Church. 

Donny enjoyed traveling to see family in Florida and visiting Disney World.  He spent many summers in Wildwood, NJ and Ocean City, NJ.  Most of all, Donny was devoted to his home and family.

 

 Son of the late Albert D. and Edryth (Porter) Powell.

 

Survivors:

Wife of 27 years: Tina Powell

Daughters: Megan Powell and Alexis Powell

Son: Brandon Powell

Sisters: Linda (Jim) Mancini and Rev. Dr. Nancy Powell

Brother: Jimmy (Jenn) Powell

Also survived by nephews and a niece: James, David, Joshua, TJ, Christopher and Ashley

 

Visitation: Saturday, January 5th from 1:00-2:00PM at the Minshall Shropshire-Bleyler Funeral Home, Ltd., Middletown (Rte. #352) & Knowlton Rds., Middletown Twp., Media, PA 19063.

 

Funeral Service: Saturday, January 5th at 2:00PM  at the funeral home.

 

Interment: Private
