Obituary of Arthur E. Colby

Arthur E. Colby, Jr., age 91, died Monday, January 21, 2019 at home. Born in Rockdale, the son of Irene and Arthur Colby Sr., he graduated from Media High School and served his nation proudly in the Navy near the end of WWII. He married Jean Grant and enjoyed 58 years of happy marriage until her passing in 2013.  He was employed by several banks and several industries along the Delaware River, retired from the Media Courthouse.  He and his brother loved animals and baseball.  Preceded in death by his wife, jean (Grant) and his brother Bill, he is survived by daughters Normajean Colby of Brookhaven, PA, and Sue Downing (Michael) of Cochranville, PA, and three grandchildren, Megan, Katelyn, and Samuel Jr. DeVecchis, and David Miskowic, a valuable friend. Art wishes to say “so long” to the people he knew.
