My fondest memory of Uncle Herbie was that he was always joking around and always making everyone laugh around him. He was a great crowd pleaser and storyteller.
He and Aunt Margie were such lovebirds and he always seemed so smitten with her whenever she was near. As a kid, I thought of him as her “knight in shining armor.” They always treated us nieces and nephews like we were their own. He’ll be sadly missed by all because he was such a warm, loving, and supportive uncle, brother, and friend. Rest in peace, Uncle Herbie.....Your niece, Linda
I only met Uncle Herbie a handful of times but he was always kind and cheerful. The last time I saw him a few years ago, I was going through a hard time and he was warm and welcoming and delighted by my presence. I hope the other side treats him well. Rest in peace and love.
Uncle Herbie is the last of a great bunch of siblings. He was my Father's brother and a great guy. Uncle Herbie made us all laugh. I'll always appreciate that he came out to Illinois for my wedding. We have a photo of him sitting at the table with Uncle Bill and Uncle Al, which we refer to as "the group of white-haired guys." : ) Rest in peace, Uncle Herbie,
Dear Aunt Margie,so sorry to hear of Uncle Herbie's passing;Carl and I have so many good memories when we would come to visit you both and get together with other family members for lunch that included Cioci Eleonore,Cioci Jean, Cioci Stella and our cousins, Joey, John and his wife,Donna. Also had some fun times going to Atlantic City especially when you both surprized us with an overnite stay at the casino and staying at your house on our last visit. Remember many a good time with all the Koziols while I was growing up and how we would all gather at Babci's house on a Sunday afternoon. You are in our thoughts and prayers, Much love, Rose Marie and Carl
