Obituary of Thomas J. Louden, Sr.

 

Thomas J. Louden, Sr., age 86, of Glen Mills, PA, died on Monday, April 8, 2019 at home, surrounded by his loving family. Tom was born September 20, 1932 in Philadelphia, PA. He lived formerly in South Philadelphia, Springfield, Glenolden and Colwyn, PA. He graduated from South Catholic High School, class of 1950.

 

Tom was a US Army Veteran, spending more than a year in Austria.  He received the National Defense Service Medal, Army Occupational Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Tom was a Steamfitter at Johnson Controls for 44 years, retiring in 1996. Mr. Louden was a parishioner of the Church of St. Thomas Apostle, Glen Mills, PA.

 

Tom enjoyed Sea Isle City and boating.  He was an avid Philadelphia and college sports fan. Most of all, Tom cherished spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren at their activities.

 

Son of the late Margret Louden and father of the late Linda Henry.

 

Survivors:

Loving wife of 66 Years:  Patricia Cassidy Louden

Sons: Thomas J. (Peggy) Louden, Jr., and Michael (Michele) Louden

Daughters: Patricia (Bruce) Ohrenich, Terry (Bill) Mawson, Peggy (Ted) Dezzi and Tracey Mullin

Sister: Peggy (Frank) Aleardi

5 Great-Grandchildren

Also survived by nieces and nephews

 

Visitation: Friday, April 12th from 9:15-10:15AM at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle, 430 Valleybrook Rd., Glen Mills, PA 19342.

 

Funeral Mass: Friday, April 12th at 10:30AM at the Church of St. Thomas the Apostle.

 

Interment: SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
