My dad, McQuay “Mac” Meredith (Verna) was Aunt Toots’ brother. I recall many fun visits with Aunt Toots. I remember her eye for fashion, not giving up her high heeled shoes until late in life and her effervescent sparkle. She was outspoken and always enjoyed a good story. My parents were always grateful for the times she and Aunt Gladys visited. Aunt Toots was a beautiful woman and at the time of her passing was the last of her siblings to pass away. She lived a good full life and I will miss an opportunity to visit her each summer when my husband, Tom Frame, and I spend the summer months in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Tom and I extend our deepest sympathy to Meredith, Bill, Leslie and their families at the loss of their beautiful mom.
Billy, Mereidith , and Leslie and grandchildren and great grandchildren .
Aunt Toots as we called her since I was a child . Have so many fun memories of her I will carry a lifetime. She was a strong independent woman. Who offered her opinion and advice whether you wanted it or not. But always did it from the heart.
We once called her Tootsie white shoes as she would only go swimming at the beach with her white sneakers on. Some many fun times at beach , race track , casino and with her friends. To live to 103 is quite an accomplishment I admire her stamina and her love of life. So glad I got to talk to her a week before she passed .
My deepest condolences to my cousins and their families.
Sorry I can’t be there just had knee replacement 4 weeks ago . My love and hugs to you all!!
