Yesterday I got to say goodbye to a great man that I am honored to say is my grandfather. The u.s. army, volunteer firefighter, loving husband. You and Mommom were always there for me, I wouldn’t be where I am today without your guidance and help. I’ll never forget all the smiles and laughs we shared it’s not going to be the same at your house without you lounging on the couch yelling at the birds. I won’t forget you driving to center city when I was going to college just to bring me a microwave. You always took care of me even if it was the smallest thing. I’ll never forget all our fishing trips pop. I remember being up the trailer and I couldn’t sleep the night before knowing that you and I, bright and early, were going to spend the whole day fishing. I loved hearing your stories “appropriate or not” and just being around your sense of humor. You taught me to be honest and real and not to take crap from anyone. I am content knowing that you lived an amazing life and touched so many people through out your journey. Your baby will miss you, hugs and kisses Pop.
I'm just so lost for words,,, my Uncle Nattie was one of a kind,,,,, caring, loving, supportive, and always had a smile on his face. Everyone that had an encounter with him never said a bad word. He served in the army, started the Upland athletic club in Upland, and supported the Upland fire company. I can't describe how we felt knowing that Uncle Natty and Aunt Donna was stopping over...... I was his flower girl in his wedding and remember their marriage as a happy ending fairy tale. So many people will miss him,, but he overwhelmed so many people to have this contribute toward him. He was an honor to have in my family and others. He truly will be missed. I love you Uncle Natty. Please still take care of your wife and look down and let her know that you are still with her. Always, your niece Liz,,, or Libby like you used to call me...
